About
What to Expect at Middle Creek
At Middle Creek Veterinary Hospital and Exotic Animal Clinic, we aim to provide you with the best veterinary experience you’ve ever had. Our modern, state-of-the-art facility welcomes all animals, including dogs, cats, and exotic animals. Whether you have a cat, dog, chinchilla, or snake, we offer a comfortable, inviting atmosphere for you and your pet. We strive to make every veterinary appointment a positive experience so that your pet will look forward to visiting us.
What to Expect During Your Middle Creek Veterinary Hospital Appointment
Most often, one of our medical staff will meet you in the lobby, bringing you and your pet to an examination room for a traditional in-hospital appointment. For nurse appointments, we will ask you to wait in our lobby or in your vehicle while we usher your pet to our laboratory or treatment area to complete their part of the visit.
After you and your pet are checked in, one of our medical staff will ask you a few questions and measure your pet’s vital signs, similar to when you visit your doctor. After we’ve gathered some basic information, our licensed veterinarian will join you and your pet in the exam room. We’ll get to know your pet, discuss your concerns, and answer any questions you may have. After creating your pet’s individual care plan, we’ll recommend additional diagnostic testing if necessary. Most tests can be performed on-site at our facility.
We’ll get to know you and your pet, discuss your concerns, and answer any questions you may have. We’ll work together to create your pet’s individual care plan, which may include medications, medical treatments, or diagnostic testing such as blood work and radiographs (x-rays). Most of these can be completed on-site at our facility!
To help us keep your appointment and those after you running on time, please complete the required forms before you come in. The best way to do this is to click the link sent to your email. Your information will automatically be uploaded into our system. If you don’t have a link, let one of our staff members know as soon as possible.
Appointment Procedures
We provide both in-office and curbside visitations to make your veterinary appointments more convenient. If you have an animal that cannot be brought into our facility, such as a large exotic, we can schedule a time to come to your location. We also offer “home” visits to zoos, farms, and multi-animal households. If you are a current patient, we can perform euthanasia services as scheduling and staffing allows.
All Appointments
We want to ensure a safe, positive experience for all our patients and visitors. Due to the variety of species of patients we treat, we aim to minimize the number of people in close contact and reduce the predator-prey interactions in our lobby.
When you arrive, please call the office before entering or come inside without your pet. If this is not possible, please carry your pet and avoid putting them on the lobby floor. This ensures the safety and comfort of all animals in the lobby. Plus, your heated or air-conditioned car may be more comfortable for your pet until we’re ready to see them.
Curbside Appointments
Due to the volume of patients we see, we aim to provide enough space for each patient in our lobby. To minimize the number of people in the clinic at one time, we offer certain services upon request via curbside vet appointments. Please call or text us when you arrive in the parking lot, and we will come to greet you.
- Appointments for surgical procedures, drop-offs, in-patient pick-ups, and nurse visits
- Picking up purchased items such as food, medication, prescriptions, etc.
Appointment Deposit and Cancellation Policy
For new clients, new pet patients, and patients who have not visited Middle Creek in over a year, we require a deposit when scheduling to secure your appointment spot. This also applies to surgical appointments. The fee is $65 for wellness visits and $75 for medical concern visits. For surgery, the deposit will depend on the estimate for the procedure. The fee is generally equal to the anticipated examination fee and is applied to that cost at the time of the visit.
To provide quality medical care in a timely manner to all patients, we have a strict no-show and late cancellation policy. We understand that emergencies may occasionally arise. Unfortunately, late cancellations often prevent another animal from receiving critical medical treatment.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, it is considered a no-show. If time permits, we may be able to work your pet in for their appointment the same day. If not, you may be asked to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, it will still be considered a no-show or late cancellation.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. A no-show appointment or late cancellation without appropriate notice will result in a forfeit of your deposit OR a late cancellation fee.
In the event that you have two (2) or more no-shows or late cancellations, you may not be able to schedule an appointment slot in the future. We will still make every effort to work your pet into our schedule if this happens. You will need to allot a larger amount of time to wait for us to see your pet between normally scheduled appointments. Future scheduled appointments will be allowed after you’ve completed two (2) “work-in” appointments of this nature.
Please note that if you arrive more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, we may ask you to reschedule. With this cancellation policy, we aim to provide the best service possible to all of our patients.
