Dr. Eliza Swan

Highly Trained Veterinarian

While playing the violin (and fiddle!) in local bluegrass/folk bands and showing horses, Dr. Swan earned two B.S. degrees at North Carolina State University: Animal Science and Biological Science, focusing on Animal Nutrition. After graduating, she thought she would pursue a career in equine medicine or pathology. However, after joining NCSU’s Turtle Rescue Team, Dr. Swan discovered her passion for exotic animal species and changed gears. In 2012, she obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.), in Veterinary Medicine, focusing on Companion (dog/cat) and Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery.
