End of Life Care

In Hospital Euthanasia

By

Just like any member of our family, we never want to see our pet suffer. We can examine your pet to help you understand your options, and when all other options have been explored and the decision is made to say good-bye, we’ll do our best to make the process as stress free as possible – for both you and your pet.

It is important that you and your pet are in a location where you both feel comfortable. For this reason, we offer both in-hospital and at-home euthanasia. Sedation will be administered prior to performing the euthanasia so that your pet is at ease and free of fear. We can discuss pet cremation services and other available options.

The decision to euthanize is difficult – even if it is a gift of love to let your pet go with peace and dignity. We are here to help you through this transition, and make the process easier for you.

End of Life Counseling

It is never easy to say good-bye to someone in your family – human, furry, scaley, or feathery. We understand that this is the worst part of being a pet parent. We are also lucky that, unlike with our human family members, we have the choice not to watch our pets suffer.

Dr. Lanier is passionate about relieving animal suffering in all forms, and sometimes that means that we have to let our pets go. Feel free to cry and ask questions. We want you to understand and know that you are making the right decision. We are here for you and your family in this challenging time.
